Together with the Health Products Policy and Standards Department, the WHO Department of Noncommunicable Diseases (NCD) will conduct a next series of dialogues with the private sector to define beneficial and effective contributions to the implementation of national responses to NCD prevention, management and control, as well as achieving the related Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) targets. The dialogue, which is taking place on 21 and 22 June 2022, will focus on urging the pharmaceutical and health technology industries to strengthen their commitment and contributions to the implementation of national NCD responses and improve access to affordable, safe, effective, and quality medicines and health technologies in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of hypertension.
