Withings has introduced BPM Vision, a new blood pressure monitor for easy at-home readings. The device features a large, high-resolution screen. It provides step-by-step guidance, motivational nudges, and real-time feedback.
Withings BPM Vision’s New Functions
Withings BPM Vision comes with interchangeable cuffs, Wi-Fi connectivity, and multi-user support. It also boasts a six-month battery life.
Connected to the Withings app, it offers actionable insights and seamless data sharing with healthcare providers. Users receive reminders to take medications and log symptoms.
Withings’ ecosystem supports this with activity tracking via compatible wearables. It creates a smart, all-in-one solution for those with the hypertension.
Cardio Checkups with Withings BPM Vision
Withings has also launched its Cardio Check-Up service. Announced in 2024, the service is part of the Withings+ subscription. It connects users with cardiologists for professional ECG analysis within 24 hours. The service works with Withings’ ECG-enabled devices. It helps detect arrhythmias early and offers quarterly check-ups for proactive heart care.
“With BPM Vision and Cardio Check-Up, we’re empowering users to take control of their cardiovascular health with ease and precision,” said Eric Carreel, Withings Founder and President.
BPM Vision will retail for $129.95 in the U.S. It is set to launch in April 2025, pending FDA approval. The Cardio Check-Up service is available starting January 7, 2025, with Withings+ subscriptions starting at $9.95 per month.
Withings: Brief History
Withings, a French consumer electronics company founded in 2008 by Éric Carreel, Cédric Hutchings, and Fred Potter, has a rich history of innovation in connected health devices. In 2009, they introduced the world’s first Wi-Fi scale, revolutionizing personal health tracking.
In 2011, Withings launched the first connected blood pressure monitor, enabling users to chart their blood pressure readings at home.
The company continued to expand its product line with devices like the Activité, an analog smartwatch released in 2014, and the Thermo, a smart thermometer introduced in 2016.
In 2016, Withings was acquired by Nokia and rebranded as Nokia Health. However, in 2018, co-founder Éric Carreel reacquired the company, restoring the Withings name and renewing its commitment to connected health innovation.
Withings has since launched products like the ScanWatch, the first hybrid smartwatch with built-in ECG, heart rate, and oximeter, and the U-Scan, a urine testing system introduced in 2023.
Withings’ mission is to empower individuals to take control of their health through user-friendly, connected devices that provide actionable insights and seamless integration with healthcare services.
